Privacy Policy

Applyvio is a personal project run by an individual ("I", "me"). This policy explains what data Applyvio collects, why, and what you can do about it. I don't sell your data, and I don't use it for advertising.
What I collect
- Your Google account basics — name, email address and profile photo, received when you sign in with Google. I never see or store your Google password.
- What you enter — contact details (phone, portfolio, GitHub and LinkedIn links), role profiles (title, pitch, tech stack), saved templates, and the applications you log (company, job title, status, dates, notes).
- CVs you upload — PDF files, stored with Cloudinary.
- Usage — which days you use the app and how many drafts you generate, to run the daily AI limit and understand how Applyvio is used.
- Anonymous visit counts — the pages visited and the referring website. To count unique visitors without cookies, your IP address and browser type are combined with a secret that changes every day and turned into a one-way code. The IP address itself is never stored, and the code can't be linked to you or to your visits on other days. If your browser sends "Do Not Track", visits aren't counted at all.
How drafts are generated
When you generate a draft with AI, the job details you enter (company, job title, job description) and your profile's title, pitch and tech stack are sent to an AI provider — Google Gemini, Groq or xAI — to write the text. Your name, email, phone number and links are not sent; the AI writes placeholders that are filled in on Applyvio's side. If you use your own API key, it is sent to the provider you chose for that one request and is never stored.
Cookies
Applyvio uses one essential cookie to keep you signed in. There are no advertising or tracking cookies. Your theme choice is stored in your browser only.
Who processes your data
- Google — sign-in, and Gemini AI generation
- MongoDB Atlas — the database that stores your account and content
- Cloudinary — CV file storage
- Groq and xAI — AI generation, when used
- The hosting provider that serves the website
These services process data on my behalf, under their own security and privacy terms. Data may be stored outside your country.
CV links
Drafts can include a link to your default CV. Anyone you send that link to can open the CV, so only include it in messages you intend to send.
Keeping and deleting your data
Your data is kept while your account exists. You can edit or delete your profiles, CVs, templates and applications at any time in the app. To delete your whole account and everything in it, email m.tahiridrees27@gmail.com from the address you sign in with; it will be removed within 30 days. Anonymous visit counts are deleted automatically after about 13 months.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion by emailing m.tahiridrees27@gmail.com. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under local law (for example the GDPR), and you can complain to your local data protection authority.
Security
Connections are encrypted (HTTPS), and each account can only access its own data. No online service is perfectly secure, so please don't upload anything you couldn't afford to have exposed.
Children
Applyvio is meant for job seekers and isn't intended for anyone under 16.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top will change too. Significant changes will be announced in the app. See also the Terms of Service.
